María Virumbrales

Ph. D. Student


María Virumbrales finished her Bachelor Degree on Biochemistry in the University of Zaragoza in 2011. As a senior student, she did an internship at the Centre for Biomedical Research of La Rioja (CIBIR), particularly at the HIV group. That same year she joined the GENOXPHOS group thanks to a Government Scholarship. In 2012 she obtained her Master’s degree on Molecular and Cell Biology and in 2013 she obtained a Master’s degree in teaching. Subsequently, she joined the AMB group at the University of Zaragoza with a PhD Fellowship from the Spanish Government. During her PhD, which she will finish in a few months, she developed the expertise in Biomicrofluidics and Atomic force microscopy in biological substrates. She performed two visits in foreign institutions: University of Twente in 2015 and University of Nottingham (Queen’s Medical Center) in 2016.
